Северный морской путь – кратчайший судоходный маршрут из Европы в Азию. Самый быстрый и экономически выгодный, без очередей и пиратов.
Провести суда по Северному морскому пути помогают атомные ледоколы. Они обеспечивают навигацию в арктических водах круглый год.
Россия обладает единственным в мире атомным ледокольным флотом.
В его состав входят семь ледоколов. Но скоро их будет больше. В Санкт-Петербурге строят еще три новых ледокола новейшего проекта 22220 – «Чукотку», «Якутию» и «Ленинград», а на Дальнем Востоке – самый мощный в мире ледокол проекта 10510 «Россия» мощностью на валах 120 МВт. Он сможет проводить суда через льды толщиной более 4 метров.
The Northern Sea Route is the shortest shipping route from Europe to Asia. It is the fastest and most cost-effective one, without queues and pirates.
Nuclear icebreakers help pilot ships along the Northern Sea Route. They provide navigation in Arctic waters all year round. Russia has the world’s only nuclear icebreaker fleet.
It consists of seven icebreakers but soon they will grow in number. In St. Petersburg, three more new icebreakers of the latest project 22220 are being built — Chukotka, Yakutia, and Leningrad, and in the Far East — the world’s most powerful icebreaker of project 10510 Russia with a shaft power of 120 MW. It will be able to pilot ships through ice that is more than 4 meters thick.
